Dogs have been around people for approximately 100,000 years and here we are still learning how to interact with them.
We have 2 Golden retrievers, a male and a female and a moggy cat. Both dogs are so different in nature, poles apart and have been a real eye opener and an interesting learning curve for me, as I was around farm working dogs when I was young and did not really get to attached to any of them.
My wife had also grown up with house dogs, and even with that experience still found that she was searching for good logical information on diets and how to train our first puppy to before he grew fast into lan adult dog.
Then after learning that first puppy experience and thinking that we were reasonably confident in doing it all again, our second puppy did not follow our ideas, experience or logic from the pawsteps of our first dog. A new set of conditions was layed out for us to negotiate.
Finding the information is like searching for a needle in a haystack, however I must say fortunately my wife has always been interested positive training methods, which targeted the type of training information that we were searching for.
